This book is a compilation of interviews, the author Max Miller tells us about his first serious assignment in New York. They present his first professional work as a journalist.
Max Millard went to New York City in November 1976, when he was 26 years old. He went with the intention to become a full-time writer. For his articles and columns written for small local papers were not paid. He was amused by New York and had explored both sides of it. He became a real journalist. He worked for the local newspaper "West Side TV Shopper" as a journalist. The interviews found in this book were published as cover stories for the paper.
Millard got an assignment to find the biggest names in that time, to interview them and write a story of 900 words. During his assignment, he wrote around 210 interviews, from which the best 100 are published in this book.
